Small Business Valuation Formula Multiples
Report provides small business valuation formula multiples for more than 190 industries.
Valuation multiples are derived from market transactions as reported by BIZCOMPS®, with
the primary focus on small companies priced at less than $1 million. Valuation multiple
range presented in the report represents the midrange of the reported transactions for
each industry.
BizBuySell Business Pricing Report
Pricing report is based on current businesses for sale and recently sold businesses for
60 industries and includes geographic area, asking price, gross income, and cash flow.
IBA Market Database
Database includes over 30,000 sales of closely held businesses in more than 725 SIC codes.
Provides price/revenue and price/earnings multiples. Access by individual SIC code for

Done Deals Online
Database contains transaction details for more than 7,200 private and public mid-market
companies sold for purchase prices between $1 million and $1 billion, with approximately
79% of the selling companies being privately owned. Valuation measures include equity,
revenue, earnings, cash flow, and EBITDA multiples.
Pratt's Stats
Database
Database provides comparable sale information on private business sales ranging in deal
price from under $1 million to over $7 billion. Includes over 9,400 transactions in 700
SIC codes and 840 NAICS codes, with up to up to 81 fields highlighting financial and transactional
details. Valuation measures include equity, revenue, earnings, cash flow, discretionary
earnings, EBIT, and EBITDA multiples.

Mid-Market Comps
Database contains almost 7,000 comparable sales for private and public mid-market companies
over the prior 10 years. Business sale price ranges from $1 million to $250 million, with
50% being under $10 million. Valuation measures include equity, revenue, earnings, cash
flow, and EBITDA multiples.
M&A Insight
Online database of over 15,000 transactions, with mid-cap companies sold for between $1
million and $250 million representing 63 percent of the database, and large-cap companies
sold for over $250 million accounting for the balance. Valuation measures include equity,
revenue, earnings, cash flow, and EBITDA multiples.
IMAP Transaction and Pricing Surveys
Middle-market pricing surveys conducted by the International Network of M&A Partners for
North America and Europe. Primary focus is on privately-held companies with annual sales
