Semiannual survey provides hourly wage data for all workers directly hired by U.S. farms and ranches on a national and regional basis, with hourly wage data reported by type of worker (e.g., field, livestock, and combined), geographic region, state (California, Florida, Hawaii), types of products produced (e.g., field crops, other crops, and livestock and poultry), and farm size based on gross value of annual sales.

Types of establishments included in these codes
Farms - establishments that primarily grow crops, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and other crops, for sale to wholesalers, retailers, and other end-users and/or raise and sell animals, such as cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens, for food or other products.
Greenhouses - establishments that primarily grow plants, flowers, and vegetables in greenhouses, often for sale to wholesalers, retailers, and landscapers. These establishments may also sell directly to consumers.
Hydroponic farms - establishments that primarily grow crops without soil, using nutrient-rich water and controlled environments to promote growth.
Orchards - establishments that primarily grow fruit trees, such as apples, pears, peaches, and oranges, for sale to wholesalers, retailers, and other end-users.
Ranches - establishments that primarily raise and sell grazing animals, such as cattle and horses, often on large tracts of land.
Feedlots - establishments that raise and fatten animals, such as cattle and pigs, for meat production. These establishments often confine large numbers of animals in small spaces and provide them with high-calorie feed to promote rapid weight gain.
Dairy farms - establishments that primarily raise and milk cows, goats, or other animals for the production of milk and other dairy products.
Poultry farms - establishments that primarily raise and sell chickens, turkeys, ducks, or other birds for meat or egg production. These establishments may also provide processing and packaging services for their products.
